MAD-COLOR is an extract from the roots of the madder plant Rubia tinctorum L. Depending on the mordants used, this dye can produce brilliant and true shades from red and violet to brown. In combination with our yellow dye extracts, we create orange shades. The hardy, herbaceous plant reaches a height of 50-80 cm. Madder develops a strong red rootstock. The plant has been used for centuries for very true dyeings, such as Turkish Red.
