The electric drum carder lends itself to effortless, two hand feeding. It comes complete with transparent plastic protection cover for safety, doffer brush, doffer pin and carding booklet. It rests on 4 rubber feet and due to its weight does not need to be clamped down. If the Carder overheats, it has an automatic shut down system. There is an automatic safety switch. If the plastic protective shield is rolled forward to expose the drum, the motor will not turn back on until the protective cover is returned to its protective position.
In carders, as a rule, the acceleration between the rollers is stated. For this carder it is 4:1. However, more important for the effectiveness of the carder is the difference in surface speed between the large and the small drum.
