The soaps from Savon du Midi are made in Provence in France. The production of soap from vegetable oils has a long tradition around the Mediterranean. The focus in the south of France is Marseille and Provence. In the saponification process, only vegetable oils from controlled organic cultivation are used to make the soap. After saponification, shea butter and, depending on the variety, honey, perfume or essential oil are added during the final processing. Savon du Midi soaps are made using traditional expertise in the tradition of Provencal soap making. This predominantly artisanal production method is reflected in the quality of a mild and nourishing soap.
None of the soaps contain any animal fats.
