Cate-Color Catechu extract
10g can Cate-color catechu extract. You can achieve shades of color between beige and brown.
Required amount approx. 5.0-15.0% of the dye weight.
Required mordant for wool and silk: alum (approx. 10%)
For cellulose fabrics: approx. 3% tannin or tannin light and then approx. 10% alum mordant
CATE-COLOR is an extract from the wood of the catechu tree, Acacia catechu. With this mordant dye, various color shades from beige to brown can be achieved. Catechu wood, known as Acacia catechu in the tanning industry, is a deciduous thorny tree naturally occurring in Asia. The wood is also used in the leather industry.
