The tip is shaped like a ball and will not damage the fabric or split the thread. A handy tool for patchwork and quilting, for sewing and other craft projects.
Use it to pull apart fabric threads to create narrow slits in trapunto quilting and to make small holes (e.g. for baby and doll shoes). It makes it easy to shape the corners when turning collars and hems.
