Mad-Color
10g can of Mad-Color madder root extract You can achieve a color nuance between red, violet and brown with Mad-Color.
Required quantity 1,0-15,0% of the dyeing weight.
Required stain for wool and silk alum (10%)
Cellulose substances 3% tannin or tannin light and then 10% alum stain
MAD-COLOR is extracted from roots of madder Rubia tinctorum L. Different shades of red, violet and brown can be achieved by variation of used mordant salts. In combination with yellow dyeing products you can develop nice orange shades. The Madder grows up in height of 50 – 80 cm. Madder developed a very strong red root network. It has been used since ancient time as vegetable dye with high fastnesses like for Turkish red.
