Weaving produces warm fabrics, knitting produces fluffy sweaters. And what about embroidery? Its sole purpose is to be decorative and adornment. Since embroidered tablecloths and bed linen have largely disappeared from everyday life, a new, exciting field has opened up: free embroidery.
This creative means of expression has little to do with copying patterns, stencils or templates. Embroidery, with its various threads and versatile stitches, offers almost unlimited design possibilities. Almost anything can be embroidered!
This practical book teaches the most important types of stitches and sensitizes you to the interplay of threads and colors, fabrics and structure. And as a "little school of creativity," it enables you to develop and implement your own ideas and motifs.
