Wild fibers
In this book, textile artist Alice Fox inspires people to create beautiful objects from materials they have grown themselves or collected in nature. This provides access to the natural cycles of nature and allows them to combine creative design with a strong sense of place.
The author explains, among other things, the cultivation, harvesting and processing of flax and nettles from the garden and provides an insight into the production of fibers from a wide variety of plants: from daffodils and irises to blackberries, rhubarb and corn.
Other found materials such as leaves, grass, stones, shells and wood are also given new life using various textile techniques.
